All Chateauroux can hope for is to cheer up their supporters and inspire themselves as the season nears its conclusion when they host the superstars of Paris in the French Cup.

But things don’t appear to be looking good for Chateauroux given their league season. With only four victories from their 16 games played, they are in the relegation zone, and the upcoming schedule will make things more challenging.

Prior to facing the real challenges, a matchup with PSG will be a welcome diversion. This season, Chateauroux only scored 17 goals, and Romain Grange had the most goals with three.

It is a modestly talented team that will look to bring a lot of energy into its 17-thousand-seat stadium!

Following the FIFA World Cup break, PSG’s season has had a challenging start.

In their first game after their return, they defeated Strasbourg 2-1 despite Neymar Jr. receiving a red card after receiving two yellow ones.

On January 1, the Brazilian was not present for the Parisians’ away game against RC Lens. Due to his continued leave following Argentina’s victory at the FIFA World Cup, Lionel Messi has also been absent from the team.

With Mbappe leading the line, Galtier’s side fell behind in the fifth minute as Przemyslaw Frankowski scored for hosts. PSG bounced back within three minutes with a goal from Hugo Etikite.

However, Lens took the lead with goals from Lois Openda and Alexis Claude Maurice to secure all three points.

RC Lens has now reduced the gap to the Parisians at the top of the Ligue 1 table to just four points.

Manager Christophe Galtier of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has stated that Kylian Mbappe and Achraf Hakimi will not play in their match against Châteauroux on January 6.

For their match in the Coupe de France’s Round of 64, the pair will be rested!

But that should hardly interrupt with how the result will play out!

A comfortable PSG win.
