Despite mistakes last season, Paris Saint-Germain should have no problem winning the Ligue 1 title this season. Qatar’s financial support has allowed the Parisian club to dominate the French league, winning eight French Super Cups, six French Cups, six League Cups and six League Cups since 2011.

FC Girondins de Bordeaux is one of the most successful French teams with 6 Ligue 1 Uber Eats trophies, 4 French Cups and 3 League Cups. FC Girondins de Bordeaux was eliminated in the first round of the Coupe de France, and the players also struggled to keep their place in Ligue 1, currently placed at the bottom of the Ligue 1, 20th position. Bordeaux has not won a single game from the previous five matches played; they lost three and drew two.

PSG was defeated in their last away match against Nice 1-0 on 5 March. PSG failed to score, and Andy Delort scored the only goal for Nice to lead them to victory over the league leaders.

With 56 goals scored and 24 goals conceded, PSG is top of Ligue’s one on goal difference. Paris Saint-Germain scored 2.1 goals per game (first in Ligue 1), while Girondins Bordeaux concedes 2.4 goals per match (20th in the league). The Girondins of Bordeaux scored 38 goals in 27 games (eighth in Ligue 1), while PSG has conceded 24 goals in 27 games (second in the league). Bordeaux scored two of the 38 goals scored at Paris Saint-Germain at the start of the season but still lost 3-2 to the leaders, and the basement team has not won in this tie since March 2015, so it would be good to take a sheet from the Real Madrid book.

The hosts exited the Champions League 3-2 on aggregate against Real Madrid in the middle of the week, and in their last game, Bordeaux was beaten 2-0 by ten men Troyes. Paris Saint-Germain remains an unstoppable force at home despite struggles on the pitch, and against a Goal-by-Goal conceding side of Bordeaux, the Capital team should bounce back with a convincing win. Paris Saint-Germain extended their Ligue 1 lead to 10 points after two goals from Brazilian striker Neymar and another from Kylian Mbappé helped them win 3-2 at Bordeaux in November in the reverse fixture.

Paris Saint-Germain scored 25 points in 13 games ahead of Bordeaux, who was beaten by  Troyes 2-0 at home. While Mauricio Pochettino has already lost three away games in all competitions in a row, Paris Saint-Germain will welcome Bordeaux to the Parc des Princes by going unbeaten in their last 16 home matches in the top division (winning 15), and Bordeaux will be wary of the capital.

PSG has a lead of 13 points at the top of the table and will look to maintain it. Lately, PSG has been dropping points in the league. Eliminated from the UCL, now PSG can entirely focus on the Ligue 1 and win it comfortably. It looks like an easy win for PSG though we can hope Bordeaux can come up with an upset.
